About Under 19's (Centex)
Centex stands for CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE. It is the established training and development programme for young, talented English lacrosse players who aspire to, and have the potential to play representative lacrosse.

The programme operates on a nomination system whereby, if selected, players will regularly attend training sessions throughout the year which focus on the development of physical, mental, technical and tactical aspects of a player’s game.
There is currently one national and four regional centres. It is envisaged that players who exhibit sound progress and have a good mental attitude at a regional centre are invited onto the national programme, although it is possible for some players to be fast tracked directly. Selection for England Under 19 representative squads is made from this programme only.
Coaches at all centres include past and current national and international coaches, players, selectors and officials.
The current Senior England Head Coach, Lois Richardson, also coaches at these centres and can therefore invite players onto the senior national programme, if applicable.
The opportunities to represent one of these teams include:-
