Coaching Field Lacrosse

 

England Lacrosse is now offering new coaching courses for coaching Men’s and Women’s Field Lacrosse.

The Coaching Field Lacrosse award is ideal for a learner wanting to gain the knowledge to lead the coaching of a full field lacrosse team. 

The awards are now split between Men’s and Women’s lacrosse, allowing learning to be tailored more towards the individual’s needs.

The course focuses on developing both the individual and a team; improving knowledge of developing skills and techniques, and identifying different coaching and learning styles to help review and evaluate your coaching practices.

What will I learn from the course?

  • Individual field lacrosse techniques

  • Basic defence v attack tactics

  • Starts to the game

  • Decision-making practices

  • Questioning skills

  • How to assess risk in setting up a field practice

Course Prerequisites:

  • 18 years or older on the day of certification

  • A prior knowledge of lacrosse

What do I need to do to complete the course?

  • Attend an initial assessment day to deliver a 30-minute field practice followed by the creation of a personalised action plan

  • Complete coaching theory via the online learning platform with learners receiving access to course materials and an online forum monitored by qualified tutors and assessors

  • Complete the England Lacrosse ‘Safeguarding’ course

  • Attend a final assessment day to deliver a 30-minute field practice in order to complete qualification*

*(Learners assessed as competent at the initial assessment day will not have to attend a final assessment day)

Cost - £205 (Registered with England Lacrosse)
£236.50 (Not Registered with England Lacrosse)
