Affiliation connects your organisation to England Lacrosse and the wider lacrosse community, giving you access to the standards, opportunities, resources and support that help you deliver safe, sustainable and high-quality lacrosse.

Whether you're a community club, university or school, affiliation provides a recognised relationship with England Lacrosse while connecting your players, coaches, officials and volunteers to opportunities across the game.

What affiliation gives your organisation

Protect your organisation and participants

Deliver lacrosse with confidence through access to Safe Sport support, recognised standards, governance guidance and insurance arrangements where applicable.

Participate in the game

Connect your organisation and participants to England Lacrosse competitions, events, development pathways and opportunities across the national game.

Being an England Lacrosse affiliated organisation

Affiliation is a partnership. We provide the framework, opportunities and support to help your organisation thrive, while affiliated organisations play an important role in maintaining the standards that protect and strengthen the game.

As an affiliated organisation, you'll be expected to:

  • provide a safe and welcoming environment for participants.

  • meet relevant England Lacrosse Safe Sport and governance standards.

  • keep your organisation and participant information up to date.

  • ensure participants hold the appropriate England Lacrosse membership where required.

  • support the development of coaches, officials and volunteers; and

  • play an active role in creating an inclusive, connected and sustainable lacrosse community.

Here’s an overview of core benefits with England Lacrosse affiliation.

  • Affiliated organisations are able to put forward representatives for committees and decision-making groups when positions arise to contribute to the running of the sport.

  • As an affiliated member, you are able to nominate talented athletes from your club or school to join the England Lacrosse Aspire Pathway programme and set them on the path to international representation.

  • Affiliated members are invited to join various England Lacrosse courses and seminars to support and develop the running of your organisations.

  • Affiliated members have access to Public Liability Insurance through England Lacrosse while involved in lacrosse activity.

  • Be a part of important decisions made for lacrosse in England at the Annual General Meeting and have your club’s voice heard. 

  • Membership with England Lacrosse gives you the ability to compete in any England Lacrosse sanctioned event, league, or competition.  

  • Membership with England Lacrosse will give you access to funding opportunities for lacrosse projects, participation in development programmes ran across England and access to advice and support from England Lacrosse staff.
