The Men’s Winter Classic will take place over the weekend 15 & 16 December at the University of Manchester’s Armitage Centre.

The Winter Classic is in its third year and is an opportunity to provide further high level competition for the best club and university players in England, and showcase the best talent in the country all in one location.

The first day will see the three teams’ squads split into two for a 6 v 6 tournament schedule. FIL has proposed a set of rules for a 6 a-side outdoor version of the sport which will be used on the first day of the Winter Classic and give the players a different challenge before moving to full 10 a-side matches on the Sunday.

Each team will amass points for their complete squad throughout the Saturday matches, which at the end of the day will determine the game order for the 10 a-side fixtures on the Sunday, with the 1st place squad earning a valuable break between their two fixtures.
