Future Leaders 15-18 Camp: Caterham School

  • Caterham School Caterham, CR3 6YA (map)

Set yourself up with skills for the future with the England Lacrosse Future Leaders Camp taking place at this summer at Caterham School from 28-30 July.

Future Leaders (aged 15-18) will develop their lacrosse knowledge in a hands-on, practical learning environment as part of our Triple Arrow Lacrosse camp, learning from experienced coaches and mentors before getting the opportunity to put those skills into practice.

The Future Leaders will complete a practical and theory-based curriculum developing skills in coaching and officiating lacrosse, earning

England Lacrosse recognised qualifications, and helping you stand out from the crowd when entering further education and employment.

The three-day, residential nature of the Camp will allow the attendees to learn in a fully immersive, collaborative environment giving the Future Leaders the necessary time to gain new skills with confidence and assurance to take forward at the end of the camp.

Coaching

The camp environment will allow the Future Leaders to work alongside the experienced coaches on our Triple Arrow Lacrosse Camps, learning ‘how to coach’‘what to coach’, and the fundamental theories and skills behind coaching.

Umpiring

The Future Leaders will work with accredited England Lacrosse officiating mentors to build up their theoretical and practical knowledge of umpiring, enabling the Leaders to be able to safely and confidently officiate Women’s Lacrosse.

At the end of the Future Leaders Camp you will gain:

·    England Lacrosse ‘Fundamentals of Coaching Lacrosse’ qualification

·    England Lacrosse Level 1 Umpire qualification

Future Leaders will also leave with a coaching logbook to use to review and reflect on their learning and once turning 18, can be able to be assessed for a ‘Coaching Field Lacrosse’ qualification.
