COACHING UPDATES

New ECoach Partnership

A refreshed and improved Learning Experience Platform

We have recently announced a new partnership with eCoach, a leading Learning Experience Platform (LXP) provider, to develop a tailored online learning hub for the lacrosse community.

This new platform marks the next step in our commitment to building a connected, confident, and capable workforce across the game by delivering learning that is flexible, accessible, and relevant to your role, whether you're coaching, officiating, volunteering, or managing the game.

The eCoach platform will fully replace the existing England Lacrosse learning site currently used for coaching and officiating courses and Annual Rules Tests and become a place for continued learning for our qualified workforce.

Designed specifically for the needs of the lacrosse community, the new platform will offer:

  • On-demand, mobile-friendly access to learning content

  • Interactive and engaging courses with video, quizzes, and scenario-based learning

  • Personalised learning journeys tailored to your goals and role

  • Easy tracking of your certifications, progress, and achievements

The transition is expected to begin in January 2026, and we’ll provide lots more information for our new and current learners once we launch the new platform.

COACHING COMPLIANCE

For all our EL coaches, there are a number of added conditions that need to be met in addition to holding a valid membership to ensure your qualifications remain valid and, as part of our commitment to promoting Safe Sport, are important to reassure our members that lacrosse is a safe and well-ran sport that is welcoming to all.

In order to be fully compliant, all coaches should meet the below requirements and declare them through their Sport80 profile:

  • Complete a basic safeguarding course (within the last 3 years)

  • Complete a basic first aid course/online training (within the last 3 years)

  • Hold a DBS Certificate (within the last 3 years) or be signed up to the DBS update service

A guide on how to add the above requirements to your profile and other useful guides can be found HERE

England Lacrosse also offer a free online safeguarding course that can be completed in your own time. The course can be accessed directly from your membership profile. Login and view your profile, select Access Learning Platform from the sidebar menu and you should then be able to directly access the course from there.
