England Box Lacrosse training schedule announced through to 2026 Euros

England Box Lacrosse have published dates and venues for training sessions and squad selection trials for both the England Box men’s and women’s programmes leading up to the 2026 European Lacrosse Box Championships in Czechia, starting 25 June 2026.

The women’s programme starts with four open sessions at venues across the country where new players to the box format can train and play alongside the more experienced. Box-specific equipment will be available to those who may only have a women’s lacrosse stick.

England women’s squad trials will then be held in November in Oxford and Manchester under the direction of new Head Coach Conor Dockery.

All selected players will be encouraged to compete in the annual Winter League competition during December and January before squad training resumes from February.

The men’s programme starts with a single open session Sunday 26 October in Oxford (running back-to-back with the women’s session) with trials following in November in Sheffield and Oxford.

As with the women, encouraged participation in the Winter League will be followed by monthly squad training from February.

Both squads then plan to attend the annual E-Box/She-Box weekend tournament in Prague in April.

England men and women go into 2026 European Championships as the top ranked European nations following the men’s 4th place finish and women’s 5th place finish at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships.

There will be stiff competition for both England teams from the other European nations. In the women’s competition, this includes the likes of Germany and Netherlands.

In the men’s competition, England go in as the reigning champions following their win in Germany in 2022, however it is likely set to be the most competitive Europeans ever with the top 6-8 nations capable of beating each other on a given day.
