England Lacrosse has today (8 May) taken the decision to rescind the appointment of the England Under 19 Women’s World Cup squad coaching, management, and support staff with immediate effect.

This decision has been taken in the best interests of the players within the World Cup training squad as part of our commitment to creating an environment in which our athletes are most able to achieve and succeed.

The Organisation had become aware of issues raised with the management and coaching of the recent USA Tour.

England Lacrosse subsequently commissioned the formation of an Independent Performance Review Panel to review the details of the Tour.

The three-person panel met on Friday to consider the information relating to the Tour  before making a number of recommendations to the Performance Advisory Group.

After receiving the suggested recommendations, the Performance Advisory Group ratified them and England Lacrosse has now carried out the appropriate actions, rescinding the appointments with immediate effect.

England Lacrosse is now working with key staff and volunteers to address the vacant positions as soon as possible ahead of this summer’s World Cup and will look to provide an update on this matter in the near future.
