Oxton and Centaurs will renew their long-standing rivalry in the National Club Championship match on Saturday 11 May in a bid to become champions of England.

Both teams remained unbeaten throughout their entire league campaign, Oxton finishing the season 16-0 with Centaurs just recording a single draw across an otherwise flawless season.

Centaurs have taken the title for the last two years against their Wirral opposition, both years subsequently finishing runners-up at the European Club Championships.

Oxton are looking for their first NCC win since 2016, when they also later went on to become European champions.

There will be a number of internationals representing both sides as part of what should be a thrilling, high-quality contest to bring the season to a climax.

NEMLA have not been able to put forward a team to represent the region in the Men’s Championship match and as a result, Hampstead have been awarded the National Club Championship and will play as England’s representative at the European Club Championships in September.

Hampstead will instead play the South of England Representative side that recently finished 3rd at the Nick Kehoe International.

To support the continued progression of the South West winners, Bristol Bombers will play the winners of the SEWLA Division 1, Harpenden in the opening game of the day.

Bristol Bombers took the SWWLA League, winning five of the six monthly tournaments, while Harpenden won promotion to the SEWLA Premier with a 12-1-1 record.

All action across the day will be streamed LIVE across our England Lacrosse Facebook and YouTube channels
