England Senior Women begin the defence of their title as Europe’s no.1 at the 2019 Women’s European Championship tomorrow against Ireland.

England face Ireland in their first match at 8.40am UK Time on Tuesday (16 July) as part of the pool stages, with the European Championship moving to a ‘top division’ structure similar to the World Cup, which will see the top 6 sides pitted against each other.

After Tuesday’s opener, further games against Germany, Israel, Wales and Scotland will decide the sides’ positioning and route through to the medal matches.

After a strong performance at the recent Home Internationals Series, beating Germany, Scotland and Wales en route to the title, as well as valuable experience against the US/WPLL touring side last month, England are in strong spirits heading into the tournament.

All England’s pool matches are scheduled to be live streamed on the Olympic Channel : https://www.olympicchannel.com/events/detail/women-s-european-championship-netanya/
