England to take part in United World Games

Three England women’s teams will compete in the 2025 United World Games in Klagenfurt, Austria taking place from 19-22 June.

35 under-21 players across three England squads will play teams from USA, Germany, and Austria in the latest edition of the United World Games.

As with The World Games and the upcoming LA28 Olympic Games, the United World Games will see athletes play the sixes version of lacrosse; indeed some of the 35 England players attending may be in contention for Great Britain squads at the Olympics in three years’ time.

2025 will be the first time England teams have taken part in the multi-sport competition that also showcases tennis, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, rugby, floorball, football, ice hockey, handball, and ball hockey alongside lacrosse.

Holding its first edition 20 years ago in 2005, the United World Games is an annual event that aims to give young athletes the opportunity to play their sport against other nations with an added Olympic flair.
