The UKLacrosse 2025 Macclesfield Box Lacrosse League begins this weekend at Macclesfield Rugby Club, Cheshire with men’s games on Friday and women’s games on Saturday.
Reigning men’s champions Heaton Hornets take on challengers Brooklands Badgers at 6:30pm tonight with Stockport Sharks and Mellor Mud Dogs facing off at 8:30pm.
On Saturday, following an open junior session between 10am and 12pm, Atlantic Dolphins will take on Hornet Queens at 12:30pm in the inaugural women’s competition.
All six teams are stacked with international players, including England players who took part in the World Lacrosse Box Championships last year, and there is plenty of up and coming talent to keep an eye on too with every game being streamed live by Lacrosse Live UK HERE.
If you’re in the area, spectators are welcome completely free of charge with the bar open this evening and all day tomorrow.
The competition will run for three consecutive weekends with champions being crowned on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June.
