Coronavirus (COVID-19) Guidance - Lacrosse Activity Update

Updated 14.05.20

Following the recent advice published by DCMS and Sport England it is now possible for a maximum of 2 (players) people to play or practice lacrosse in an outdoor space, note that no indoor play is permitted.

This is under the proviso that government rules on social distancing rules are respected. That means remaining 2m apart, a useful gauge for this is the length of 2 lacrosse sticks.

Do not share any equipment, including balls or water bottles. Mark your name on your ball to ensure you are the only person to handle it.

Only play in permitted, outdoor spaces.

Follow Public Health England guidance and maintain good hygiene standards by thoroughly washing your hands with soap and hot water before and after practice or use a hand sanitiser. Remember to use the 20 second washing advice.

Government still requires the suspension of lacrosse in all other forms to remain in place until further notice.

The government suspension for lacrosse includes all our competitions and domestic events, player pathway activity and youth programmes, including practices.

We ask that all lacrosse leagues, clubs and teams to support this action.

We will continue to work with government agencies and monitor the situation regularly providing you with updates as and when we can.

We will be working with all our key partners and stakeholders to put in place preparations to restart activity as soon as these unprecedented governmental measures are stopped.

Please stay safe and continue to follow the advice of Public Health England.
