Girls’ National Academy

The Girls’ National Academy is the second stage of the England Lacrosse Talent Pathway and follows on from the Girls’ Regional Academy, where the most promising talent at Regional Academy level is invited to form the National Academy.

England Lacrosse operates several residential training sessions throughout the year for the National Academy that offers a direct route into the Senior England National Team set-up, with players from the National Academy forming the England Under 19 National Squad.

And at the 2019 Women’s Lacrosse U19 World Championships, the entire squad was made up of athletes who had passed through the Talent Pathway.

From the England Under 19 National Squad, there is potential to move on from the Talent Pathway and into the Senior England National Team.

83% of the Senior England Squad who travelled to the 2019 Women’s European Lacrosse Championships was made up of Talent Pathway graduates.
