50 days to go until 2026 National Schools Championships

Queen Anne's player jumps in the air to celebrate winning National Schools

Today (Friday 16 January) marks 50 days to go until the National Schools Lacrosse Championships returns to Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre from 7 - 10 March 2026 for its 83rd edition.

The first National Schools Lacrosse Championships took place in 1944 when Bedford Technical College took the inaugural title and since then the annual competition has become the largest lacrosse event in Europe and the premier schoolgirl event in the UK.

2026’s tournament is set to be bigger and better than ever with almost 200 teams and more than 2,500 players set to take part across the four age group categories.

In 2025, Queen Anne’s School claimed their first title since a joint win with Haberdashers’ Aske’s School in 1996 following a narrow 3-2 win over two-time winners St Catherine’s School.

To celebrate the 50 days to go milestone, those who attended last year’s National Schools Lacrosse Championships and all England Lacrosse members will receive an email offering them the opportunity to purchase 2026 tickets at an exclusive early bird price.

During the early bird period, single day tickets will be available at £14 and weekend/two-day tickets at £25; tickets will go on general sale on Friday 30 January at a slightly increased price.
