Could British Gas for Tomorrow help your club?
The British Gas Energy for Tomorrow programme, in partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, has opened applications for the next round of its Grassroots Sports Clubs Programme with lacrosse clubs able to apply until Friday 27 March.
The programme combines expert energy guidance, coached Crowdfunder support, and matched funding, meaning even clubs with no previous fundraising experience can successfully deliver impactful energy‑saving projects. In 2025, all participating clubs reached their targets, unlocking £141k in funding.
It is a fantastic initiative designed to help community sports clubs cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions, and reinvest savings back into the people and places that matter most – local communities.

Any community‑focused sports clubs looking to reduce their energy use and operating costs, for example through solar panel installation, heat pumps, LED lighting upgrades, insulation, and other low‑carbon improvements to clubhouses and facilities, can apply.
