England’s men’s and women’s box lacrosse teams have discovered their opponents ahead of the annual E-Box & ShE-Box Invitational events in April.

England’s men will take on Germany on the opening day of the event with memories of their 11-8 final victory at the 2022 Euros still fresh in the memory.

Saturday 18 April will see them battle 2022 Euros semi-final opponents Czechia who England also despatched in the 2024 World Championship quarter-final to finish as the highest placed European team at the tournament.

Finally, on Sunday 19, England bow out against a Tokyo side taking part in the event for the first time.

Over in ShE-Box, England’s women will begin on Friday 17 with a match against Hong Kong followed by a huge game against sixth best side in the world Germany on Saturday 18; England defeated both teams at the inaugural women’s World Championship in 2024.

England’s women will finish the event with a game on Sunday 19 against Netherlands, who they memorably defeated in sudden-death over-time in Pool A at the World Championship two years ago, and a match versus Tokyo.

Both England teams head to Prague, Czechia for the E-Box/ShE-Box events as preparations continue ahead of the 2026 Euros in June also in Prague.

Head Coaches Walt Christianson (men) and Conor Dockery (women) are working hard with their training squads before announcing their final Euros squads over the coming months.
