England Lacrosse welcomed 30 players to Lilleshall National Sports Centre for the first ever Boys North Aspire Programme residential weekend on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.
The young players, who hail from 13 clubs in the north of England, enjoyed technical and tactical activities alongside some short-sided games, strength & conditioning, sports psychology, and physio sessions.
Led by newly appointed Head Coach of the England Lacrosse Boys Aspire Programme and former England international, Glenn Humphries, the residential weekend kickstarts the 2026/27 Boys Programme with more single day sessions taking place over the next six months.
The 2026/27 Programme will conclude with another residential weekend back at Lilleshall National Sports Centre where the England Lacrosse Men’s Programme was born in the 1980s.
The Boys Aspire Programme is the only programme of its kind in the UK and helps to find, train, and support the rising stars of England Lacrosse.
Schools and clubs can nominate talented players throughout the year after which the England Lacrosse Aspire team will be in touch to arrange an assessment.
