Graham Edmunds | Obituary

England Lacrosse is saddened to hear of the passing of former Chair of Poynton Lacrosse Club and highly valued and respected member of the lacrosse family, Graham Edmunds.

Graham’s committment to Poynton Lacrosse Club, Poynton Sports Club, and the wider sporting community is something that will always be remembered.

A familiar face on the sidelines, Graham was also a competent referee and tried to support Poynton on the pitch whenever he could alongside his duties as both the lacrosse club’s and the sports club’s Chair.

Every Friday morning, Graham could be found volunteering alongside ‘the Friday Gang’ at Poynton Sports Club which was just another example of the quiet and selfless way he gave his time and helped to make the club such a special place.

In a post on Instagram, current Poynton Lacrosse Club Chair Glyn wrote:

“Graham leaves behind a wonderful legacy of friendship, service, and countless memories.

“He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, and particularly by the many people fortunate enough to have shared the Poynton sporting journey with him.”

England Lacrosse’s thoughts are with Graham’s family and friends at this difficult time.
