Knights and Ravens top Winter Box League tables after wins on day 2
Jaguars and Knights cemented their spots at the top of the respective women’s and men’s tables after wins on game day two in SEMLA’s Winter Box League as the 2025/26 season reached the halfway mark on Sunday.
After a tight 10-9 victory over Jaguars on opening day, Ravens secured another win on day two coming out 5-3 winners against Jaguars in the two-team women’s competition.
With two game days to go, Jaguars can still turn things around but they’ll have to be quick about it if they are to prevent Ravens from claiming a second consecutive Winter Box League title.
In the men’s tournament, Steelheads picked up their first win of season seeing off Capitals 9-5 with Farrer scoring a hat-trick of goals.
Dave Groves tried his best to help Capitals to a first win in 2025/26 with four goals but Steelheads proved too strong as they begin their charge for this year’s title.
Perhaps the most significant result on day two was Knights’ sensational over-time win over reigning champions Hornets to really stake their claim as this year’s champions-elect.
