Stockport September Sixes returns for sixth year

Stockport Lacrosse Club’s September Sixes returns this weekend with 17 senior teams confirmed to be competing in the sixth edition of the competition.

12 clubs will also compete in the various boys and girls age-group categories throughout the weekend, with Stockport, Timperley, Heaton Mersey, and Mellor entering at least one team in every category.

Saturday will see the senior competitions take place with games starting from 11am and the junior tournaments starting from 9am on Sunday.

Last year’s senior men’s champions Poynton will return looking to win back-to-back titles for the first time while 2025 women’s winners Oxton haven’t entered a senior team in this year’s competiton.

Spectators are welcome to attend the event free of charge with food and drink available across the weekend; Northern Soul Lacrosse Equipment and Apparel and CRDV Clothing and Accessories will be on-site.

The car park at Stockport Lacrosse Club will be closed during the weekend for all except blue badge holders, tournament officials, OAPs, and team buses but there is parking available at the Hulme Hall School opposite the club.

The Stockport September Sixes launched in 2021 and the event has grown year on year with the 2026 edition set to be the biggest and best yet with teams from all over the country represented.
