World Lacrosse announce Nissin Foods as title partner of 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship
World Lacrosse has announced Nissin Food Products Co. Ltd. as the title partner of the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship, taking place from 24 July to 2 August in Tokyo, Japan.
Nissin Foods is a food manufacturer based in Tokyo, with offices and factories in various locations all over the world, that launched the world’s first instant noodles in 1958 and the world’s first cup type of instant noodles in 1971.
They are a top partner of the Japan Lacrosse Association (JLA), comprehensively supporting national tournaments and national team activities hosted by the JLA in Japan.
This year’s World Championship will now be referred to as the Nissin Foods 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship and will feature the top 16 women’s teams in the world, with games played at Oi Stadium and Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium.
In a statement released earlier today, World Lacrosse said:
“The partnership will leverage Nissin Foods’ global marketing resources to enhance awareness of and generate excitement for the world championship, supporting the goals of both the JLA and World Lacrosse for the growth and popularization of the sport.
“Nissin Foods will contribute to increasing the value of the event by promoting international exchange through sports and providing rich, health-conscious dining experiences.”
World Lacrosse CEO Jim Scherr said:
“This partnership is a landmark moment for the global profile of lacrosse and a significant boost ahead of one our premier world championships in Japan.
“With incredible support from Nissin Foods, one of the most recognisable global food brands, the 2026 Women’s Championship will expand the horizon for lacrosse in one of the game’s fastest growing hotbeds and beyond.”
Along with the announcement of a title partner for the World Championship, World Lacrosse has also unveiled the logo for the competition which honours the deep history of Japan.
The mark follows the template of previous recent World Lacrosse tournament logos: the head of a lacrosse stick with tournament-related imagery inside.
For the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship, a red circle symbolising the rising sun, a depiction of Mount Fugi, the Seigaiha pattern of endless, calm waves, representing the wish for eternal peace, and the modern digital expression utilising dots, contrasting with traditional motifs is within the head of the lacrosse stick and makes up the logo.
