Aspire

University

An introduction to the University Aspire Programme for players.

The England Lacrosse University Aspire Programme aims to identify athletes who are studying at university and are not currently a part of any England Lacrosse programmes but have the potential to progress into the England Lacrosse Perform Programme.

The Programme is open to anyone and everyone who has shown exceptional athletic potential within the university setting but athletes don’t need to be expert lacrosse players to apply; they simply need the speed, agility, strength, and determination to excel in the sport.

To identify possible University Aspire Programme athletes, England Lacrosse hosts annual assessment days in the north and south of the country.

The 2026 assessment days are as follows:

North | 15 November & 13 December | Sheffield Hallum Sport Park, Bawtry Road Sports Ground Bawtry Road, Darnall

South | 1 November & 29 November, Locklease Sports Centre Bristol, Off Bonnington Walk, Lockleaze, Bristol, BS7 9XF

Players must attend two of the four sessions with prices set at £60 that also includes an England LAcrosse University Aspire Programme pinny.

Please note, to attend the sessions players must hold a valid England Lacrosse membership which can be purchased HERE.

Following the assessment days, invited players will attend residential training sessions in 2027 before a squad will be selected for the annual University Aspire Programme tour.
