Entries for 2026/27 Now Open

England Lacrosse is pleased to announce that entries for the upcoming Mixed Lacrosse League season are now open.

We welcome entries from clubs and universities across England, whether you are looking for highly competitive national-level fixtures or a more locally focused regional competition.

For the new season, teams will be able to apply for one of two competition routes:

Premier Division

A higher-level competition for established teams seeking regular fixtures against the strongest mixed sides from across the country. Entry to the Premier Division is by application, with places confirmed after the entry window closes.

Regional Divisions

As with all previous years of the mixed leagues, the Regional Divisions will offer a geographically prioritised competition structure.

If there are not enough teams to run a viable Premier Division for 2026/27, all teams who have requested Premier Division competition will be entered in the Regional Divisions instead.

League Dates Published: w/c 7th September. League Fixtures commence: Early October (TBC)

Please note: Premier Division places are not guaranteed. Final placements and regional structures will be confirmed once entries have closed and the overall level of demand is known.

*The refundable deposit will be returned where a team completes at least 50% of its scheduled league fixtures (Regional Division) or 75% of its scheduled league fixtures (Premier Division). A fixture will only count as completed where the match is played. Conceded or otherwise unplayed fixtures will not count towards the requirement, except where a match is cancelled because of extreme weather conditions.

Individual Membership

In order to compete in the Mixed Lacrosse Leagues all players, coaches and officials in each team must be registered members of England Lacrosse.

Umpiring

Home teams are required to provide two umpires per game. Umpires should be qualified with a minimum Entry Level/Level 1 umpiring qualification.

For any team without qualified umpires, our Entry Level Umpiring Course can now be completed entirely online and will give you all the grounding you need to safely officiate in the mixed leagues.

FAQs

What is the difference between the Premier and Regional Divisions?

The Premier Division is intended for established teams seeking a higher level of competition against the strongest mixed teams from across England.

Regional Divisions will provide competitive fixtures geographically prioritised competition.

How do we apply for the Premier Division?

Select Premier Division as your preferred competition route when completing your team entry through Sport:80.

You will be asked to provide some brief information about your team’s playing level, recent competition experience and ability to fulfil the expected fixture commitments.

How will Premier Division places be decided?

Premier Division places will be confirmed after entries close.

England Lacrosse will consider the number of applications received, previous competition performance, expected squad strength, geographical considerations and each team’s ability to complete the required fixtures.

Applying for the Premier Division does not guarantee a place.

What happens if we are not offered a Premier Division place?

If we are not able to offer a team a place in the Premier Division, the team will automatically be entered into the most appropriate Regional Division.

Yes. Teams that do not wish to apply for the Premier Division can select a Regional Division entry when completing the Sport:80 form.

The Premier Division and Regional Division structures will be confirmed after entries have closed on 20th August and all applications have been reviewed.

Teams will be contacted directly before fixtures are published.

Yes. If the Premier Division goes ahead, the National Play Off structure will involve all Premier Teams, and a certain number of Regional qualifying teams. The Premier Play Offs culminate at the National Club Finals.
