2019 School Challenge Cup Schedule released

2019 School Challenge Cup

The 2019 School Challenge Cup is set to take place at Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre on Saturday 23 November with the country’s top girls’ schools all in competition to take the crown.

Eight schools, invited based on finishing places at last year’s National Schools, will compete in a knockout competition across 40-minute matches using the new rules; including 10-a-side, self-start, and reduced numbers at the draw.

The School Challenge Cup will give the top performing schools in the country the opportunity to test themselves over longer matches than at National Schools, in a knock-out format, and showcase to spectators school lacrosse at the highest level.

The matches take place across the Aldershot Garrison Sports Complex, including in the Military Rugby Stadium, creating a real crowd atmosphere as we saw with the ‘Final Four’ at the 2019 National Schools Lacrosse Championships.

Berkhamsted won the inaugural Challenge Cup competition last year, and after then going on to win the National Schools Championship back in March, will back looking to defend their title as the tournament #1 seeds.
