Lacrosse Home Internationals 2019 will host Men and Women's Lacrosse

Lacrosse Home Internationals 2019

The Home International Series returns to England for 2019 with this year’s competition taking place across 5-7 April at Aldershot Garrison Sports Complex.

Home Internationals is a GB Lacrosse Council event, the GB council is comprised of representatives from Scotland, Wales and England. The series is hosted by one of the 3 nations each year.

This will be the first time Men’s Lacrosse has been included in Home Internationals, becoming a joint competition is an important step given the increased profile of lacrosse in the international sporting world.

Lacrosse continues to achieve recognition in the world of international multi-sport events, such as the World Games and Olympics.

In 2017 Women’s Lacrosse was played as an invitational sport at the World Games, GB Lacrosse lost the Bronze medal game to Australia. World Games 2021 (Birmingham, USA) will see Women’s Lacrosse included as a main sport and Men’s Lacrosse as an invitational sport. GB Lacrosse squads will compete in both competitions.

England Lacrosse are delighted to be able to host a joint home Internationals for the 1st time ever and look forward to establishing it as a major event in the annual international calendar.
