100 days to go | 2026 National Schools Lacrosse Championships
Today (27 November) marks 100 days to go until the National Schools Lacrosse Championships returns to Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre for its 83rd edition.
Taking place from 7-10 March 2026, the National Schools Lacrosse Championships is the premier schools lacrosse competition in the UK bringing together teams from over 50 schools to compete in 12 tournaments across four age-group categories.
It allows over 2,000 young athletes aged 11 to 19 to play high level lacrosse against some of the most talented in England, Scotland, and Wales.
And if you’re a fan of lacrosse, the National Schools Lacrosse Championships is where you will undoubtedly see the next generation of international lacrosse star with the likes of current England senior players Charlie Wilson (Lady Eleanor Holles), Emma Savage (Berkhamsted), and Georgie Southorn (Lady Eleanor Holles) having played in and won the competition when they were younger.
In fact, players who play in the 2026 edition of the competition may have the opportunity to represent Great Britain at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles when lacrosse makes its triumphant return to the competition after 80 years away.
Starting all the way back in 1944 when Bedford Technical College became the inaugural champions, the National Schools Lacrosse Championships has grown significantly in eight decades with the competition now taking place over four action-filled days and on as many as 15 pitches at any one time.
Last year’s winners Queen Anne’s School, who claimed the top title for the first time since 1992, will be back for more and hoping they can become the first team since Godolphin School in 2011 to retain the U19A trophy.
