5 English officials selected for 2026 Box Euros
Five English officials have been selected as part of the 33-strong team taking charge of matches at the 2026 European Box Lacrosse Championships in Prague, Czechia this summer, the competition has confirmed.
Michael Leahy, Dennis Cheng, Lara Owen, Emma Jones, and JP Pordum will handle officiating duties during the men’s and women’s Championships taking place from 25 June to 4 July.
It’s set to be an historic event with the first ever women’s Euros running alongside the third men’s edition two years after World Lacrosse trialled the format for the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships in Utica, USA.
All five English representatives are experienced officials across the formats of lacrosse with all having taken charge of games at previous World and European Championships.
England is the fourth most represented country among the officials after Canada, Germany, and Czechia.
Haudenosaunee and the Netherlandsare also sending one official each with Bernie Nichols and Ryan Wilson taking on Official in Chief Deputy duties.
