Walt Christianson and the Great Britain coaching team have named the 12 players who will represent GB at the 2026 European Sixes Lacrosse Championships in Salou, Spain next month.
The squad has been selected from the wider British Lacrosse Men’s Performance Programme that has been training together since the beginning of the year.
GB will take on the Türkiye, Spain, Poland, and Latvia in Pool A at the European Sixes Lacrosse Championships from 10-18 November which acts as the first step in qualifying for the LA28 Olympic Games.
Should GB finish in the top five at the continental championships, they will qualify for next year’s 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships where a place at the Olympics is up for grabs.
Six of the newly announced squad, including William Baxter, Tom Bracegirdle, Hal Dwobeng, Ryan Hunns, Luke Mills-Doig, and Alex Russell, were a part of the GB squad that finished fourth at The World Games in 2022.
William Baxter, Drew Bickerton, Tim Collins, Nick DeCaprio, Tom Roper, Alex Russell, and Dan Watson, helped England to finish third at last year’s 2025 European Championship in Wroclaw, Poland.
Of the 12 players in the squad, only two (Nick DeCaprio and Reece Callies) learned the game overseas, with the remaining 10 players coming through the England academy system.
Coach Christianson said:
“To start the journey towards the LA28 Olympic Games with such a talented squad is a privilege.
“We can’t wait to get on the field and put all our hard work into practice.”
