Have Your Say: Join the Annual Schools Forum

The England Lacrosse Schools Forum has been established to ensure that schools have a strong voice in shaping the future of lacrosse.

Bringing together representatives from affiliated schools across the country, the Forum provides an opportunity for those involved in school lacrosse to share experiences, raise challenges and help influence the strategic direction of the game in England.

The Forum works closely with England Lacrosse to identify opportunities to strengthen the schools game, improve communication and collaboration, and develop practical solutions that benefit schools, teachers, coaches and young people.

How does it work?

The Schools Forum meets annually and is open to representatives from all affiliated schools. Each affiliated school can nominate one representative to attend, ensuring a broad range of views and experiences are heard.

Following the annual Forum, a Schools Working Group meets throughout the year to take forward key actions and recommendations. Working alongside England Lacrosse, the group focuses on topics including:

  • Competitions and playing opportunities

  • Aspire Academy and player pathways

  • Rules, officiating and workforce development

  • Support for new and developing schools

  • Building stronger links between schools, clubs and universities

The Working Group also appoints a representative to sit on the National Lacrosse Committee, ensuring that the views of schools are represented within England Lacrosse's governance structure.

Why it matters

School lacrosse continues to evolve, and the best way to support that growth is by working together.

The Schools Forum creates a space for schools to:

  • Share ideas and best practice.

  • Help shape future initiatives and programmes.

  • Raise issues and identify opportunities.

  • Influence decisions that affect the schools game.

  • Strengthen connections across the lacrosse community.

By bringing together the expertise and experience of teachers, coaches and volunteers from across the country, the Forum helps ensure that the future of school lacrosse is informed by those delivering the game every day.

Together, we can continue to grow and strengthen lacrosse in schools across England.
