Knights, Steelheads reach Winter Box League final; Ravens extend lead over Jaguars

Players arms around each other

Knights and Steelheads both reached the 2025/26 SEMLA Winter Box League after finishing first and second in the men’s round robin table after three weeks of action.

Hornets and Capitals will battle for third place in the bronze medal game after ending the round robin stage in third and fourth spot respectively.

In the women’s competition, Ravens all but wrapped up the title after a third win in a row against Jaguars on game day three; the two will still play a fourth and final game in next weekend’s last day of the season.

Game day three saw Knights defeat Steelheads 12-9 in a tight final round robin match to claim three wins from three and top the table heading into the final day of the season.

Steelheads, with one win and two defeats, finished second in the table and will play Knights once again in Sunday’s showpiece final for a chance to secure their first Winter Box League title.

Hornets went into their final round robin game against Capitals knowing a win would secure a second consecutive final, giving them the chance to retain the title they first won last season.

But an incredibly competitive game against bottom side Capitals ended in a 10-9 defeat for Hornets leaving them in third place and looking to beat Capitals in next weekend’s third place play-off.

Over in the women’s tournament, Ravens proved to be too strong for Jaguars once again as they picked up a big 8-2 victory to effectively secure the 2025/26 title ahead of a fourth game in the series on Sunday.
