SEMLA’s 2025/26 Winter Box League squads announced
Following last night’s draft, the squads for the South of England Men’s Lacrosse Association (SEMLA) Winter Box League 2025/26 have been finalised and announced ahead of the opening fixtures this Sunday 7 December.
Demonstrating the high level of box lacrosse on show at the Winter Box League, 25 players who featured for England at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships will be taking to the floor for their respective teams this season alongside several other international players and some of the best up and coming talent in the country.
Heading into its fifth year, SEMLA’s Winter Box League will once again see Steelheads, Knights, Capitals, and reigning champions Hornets take on each other over four game days in the men’s competition.
The women’s competition will celebrate its third birthday in 2025/26 but, having trialled a three-team format last season, will return to a two-team tournament this year with 2024/25 champions Ravens and second-placed Jaguars battling for the trophy.
Each game day will take place in the home of box lacrosse in the south of England, the Oxford Academy 3G Dome, with matches taking place between 12pm and 5pm.
Matches will be played over four 15-minute quarters and fans are welcome from 11am until 6pm on Sunday 7 & 14 December and 11 & 18 January.
