Stockport Metros to celebrate 50th birthday

The Stockport Metros are celebrating their 50th birthday this year with a huge celebration at Stockport Lacrosse Club on Friday 3 July.

As part of their “50 years of friendship through lacrosse” campaign, the Metros are looking to attract as many of their alumni as possible to attend the event that will also include an U13 and an U15 game.

The night will be a chance for everyone associated with the Stockport Metros, past and present, to share stories and the club are also asking attendees to bring along any tour memorabilia, souvenirs, or photos with them.

Stockport’s bar will be open and food will be available to purchase with the event culminating in “the big photo” that will see as many past touring party members as possible stand alongside current players for an historic photo.
