England Lacrosse is proud to be supporting this year’s Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week taking place next week from 3 to 9 October 2022.

Formerly Parents in Sport Week, Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week is supported by the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) and is designed to offer support and inform parents and carers about the role they can play in keeping their children safe in sports and activity settings.

Officially, the campaign will be running year-round to ensure parents and carers feel supported throughout the whole year but the Week will allow a more focused look at the support that is available to parents within the safeguarding area.

If you’re a parent or carer, the best way to get involved and support this year’s campaign is to:

  • take a look at the resources the CPSU has developed to help you to be a great sports parent in their parents' hub

  • take their updated e-learning course and learn how to keep your child safe

  • share their animation on social media to let other parents know about the campaign

  • talk about Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport on social media by using #SafeinSport and tagging @NSPCC and @TheCPSU

If you are worried about a child’s safety, the CPSU has a page with information about what you can do to help HERE or you can simply call the number below.
