England Lacrosse is looking for expressions of interest from committed, enthusiastic, and inspirational individuals to work alongside the England Women’s Field Development Head Coach, Sally Keogh as Assistant Coach.
The England Development Programme is a continuous, open-age, invitation-only programme sitting between the Aspire and Women’s Senior Performance Programmes that aims to provide an environment of high challenge and support for invited athletes to pursue and prepare for potential transition to the Performance Programme.
The primary responsibility for this Assistant Coach role will be delivering discipline-specific technical and tactical coaching aligned to the Programme’s playing philosophy and integrating these skills with physical robustness, attitudes, and behaviours to eventually perform on the senior world stage.
To be successful in this role you will need to be comfortable working with high potential young people, providing individualised challenge/support, and working collaboratively as part of a team of coaches to achieve maximum output from available resources.
Alongside supporting the delivery of a domestic training programme, there will be the potential requirement to support athletes gaining exposure to relevant competitive experiences and potentially playing against foreign opponents overseas.
The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach, additional coaches and support staff, overseen by the England Lacrosse National Performance Manager, to ensure the Programme is aligned with England Lacrosse’s vision and values.
As with all coaching roles, England Lacrosse will be holding a full, open application and interview process with all prospective candidates welcome to apply.
Please note, this is a voluntary role with reasonable and necessary expenses available as agreed and flexibility is offered with relation to frequency of commitment to training dates.
There is also the potential for more than one appointment, when submitting your application please specify any specialism preference, for example, attack/defence/goalie etc.
