Entry for the 2026/27 BUCS Lacrosse Sixes Championship and Trophy has opened today, British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) has announced.

Taking place on Sunday 25 October 2026 at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Platt Lane Sports Complex, university teams have until 23:59 on Thursday 8 October to enter either the Championship or Trophy tournament.

The competition returns to Platt Lane after a successful first trip up north in 2025 that saw Exeter and Nottingham Trent lift the women’s and men’s Championship titles respectively.

In the Trophy competition, it was a clean sweep for the University of Nottingham as their men’s team overcame Glasgow 5-1 and their women narrowly saw off Durham 2s by a single goal.

Along with the hope of winning some silverware, the top 24 placed teams in the men’s and women’s categories will also receive valuable BUCS points that will help them in the 2026/27 league season.

The Sixes format aligns the competition with the Olympic version of the sport heading to LA in 2028, as well as England Lacrosse’s leading domestic Sixes League, The Fly Sixes, which has featured multiple BUCS stars past and present.

Entry per team is £195 and for more information and to enter your team/s click the button below.
