England Lacrosse is delighted to announce experienced referee Dean Mohareb as the new Referee Advisory Group (RAG) Chair.

Mohareb, who is an international World Lacrosse rated (WL2) official, will begin his role immediately and will help in the England Lacrosse’s aim to improve and shape lacrosse refereeing in England.

Stepping into the role, whilst also holding the Vice-Chair position with the England Referees’ Association as well as Referees’ Appointments Officer with England Lacrosse, Mohareb has over two decades of officiating experience across both football and lacrosse.

Whilst with the FA, he officiated at Wembley Stadium on numerous occasions and also led the FA’s grassroots referee education programme supporting the development of new referees nationwide through the County FA Referee Development Officer network.

Since taking up Lacrosse officiating, Mohareb has worked his way through the ranks and has taken charge of games at the 2022 World Lacrosse U20 Men’s Championship in Limerick and the 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in San Diego.

He is also a World Lacrosse educator and is working with other Federations to provide education and training to their officials.

Outside of Lacrosse, Mohareb is the Managing Director of a company in Greater Manchester that supports school curriculum design and implementation.
