Over the next five weeks, England Lacrosse is hosting three Fundamentals of Coaching Lacrosse courses, designed for those just starting out on their coaching journey, with applications to take part open now.
Courses will take place on Sunday 11 October, Sunday 18 October, and Sunday 8 November in the South East and North West regions, ensuring there is a course for everyone in the two big hubs of lacrosse in the country.
The Fundamentals of Coaching Lacrosse course is designed to teach the basic principles and theory behind coaching and educate in how to set up a safe, fun, and engaging coaching session.
Candidates will be given the fundamental skills to carry out an assistant coach role, covering the basic skill-set for playing lacrosse and how to identify and correct incorrect technique for individual players.
Participants must be 16-years-old in the year of certification to take part in the Fundamentals course, but can start the theory elements while in school year 10.
