GB teams discover group stage opponents ahead of Euro Sixes Olympic Qualifiers
Great Britain’s men’s and women’s teams have discovered their group stage opponents ahead of the 2026 European Sixes Lacrosse Championships, the first stage in the qualifying process for the LA 2028 Olympic Games, set to take place in Salou, Spain from 2-18 November.
Great Britain’s men will face Latvia, Poland, Spain, Turkiye, and Armenia in Group A after being seeded in Pot 1 meant they avoided the likes of Germany, Israel, and the Netherlands.
The GB women’s team, also seeded in Pot 1, were drawn in Group D and will take on the Netherlands, Norway, and Austria as they bid for a spot in next year’s 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships, the final stage of qualifying for the Olympics.
To qualify for next year’s World Championships, GB’s men’s and women’s teams will need to finish in the top five of their respecitve competitions.
Starting first, the Women’s Championship will run from 2-9 November with the men’s from 10-18 November.
