Head Coach Alex Carnegie-Brown has named the 12 players who will represent Great Britain at the 2026 European Sixes Lacrosse Championship in Salou, Spain next month.
The squad has been selected from the wider 46-player British Lacrosse Women’s Performance Programme that has been training together since the beginning of the year.
GB will take on the Netherlands, Norway, and Austria in Group D at the European Sixes Lacrosse Championship from 2-9 November which acts as the first step in qualifying for the LA28 Olympic Games.
Should GB finish in the top five at the continental championship, they will qualify for next year’s 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championship where a place at the Olympics is up for grabs.
Five of the newly announced squad, including Cece Green, Minty Loxton, Emma Oakley, Emma Savage, and Dylan Whittington, were part of the GB squad that travelled to Chengdu, China to compete in The World Games 2025.
Another five of the squad are based in the US with Jordan Carr, Olivia Hompe, Emily Nalls, Britt Read, and Teagan Scott all plying their trade across the pond.
The two remaining members of the squad, Anna Saunter and Sofia Wise, are accomplished players, having represented England at international level and Wise picking up a European title in 2024.
Highlighting the huge quality in the squad, nine of the 12 players represented England at the World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Tokyo, Japan earlier this year.
Carnegie-Brown said:
“It’s such an exciting time to be in the world of lacrosse and to be taking this incredibly talented group of dedicated athletes on the road towards LA28 is a huge honour.
“Trying to do something that hasn’t been done before and qualify for an Olympic Games is an absolute privilege and we’re ready to compete and show the world what we’re all about.”
