LA28 opens volunteer programme

The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games has opened its volunteer programme with less than three years to go until the event.

As lacrosse returns to the Olympic stage after an 80 year absence, now is your chance to make a difference and be a part of something meaningful, memorable, and impactful.

LA28 has opened up opportunities to volunteer in the community starting this year and volunteer during the Games in 2028 and they’re searching for dedicated people in Los Angeles and beyond.

The volunteer programme is all part of LA28’s ambition to show up, give back, and create a legacy that will live far beyond the Closing Ceremony.

Their ‘volunteer in the community’ opportunities are described as “showing up for the people who call this city home. Starting in fall 2025, you’ll have the chance to join the LA28 Volunteer Crew and take part in community-focused volunteering.”

Volunteers will help support causes across Los Angeles, from wildfire recovery and hunger relief to supporting youth sports and communities in need.

For those looking to volunteer during the Games to create unforgettable experiences for millions of fans and thousands of athletes, registration will open in summer 2026 and there’ll be opportunities from assisting athletes to guiding guests.
