Robert Patterson | Funeral Details

England Lacrosse is deeply saddened to hear of the death of long-time member of the lacrosse community Robert Patterson on Friday 18 September 2026 following a short illness.

Robert, known as Bob, was a constant presence at Stockport Lacrosse Club, Greater Manchester, and dedicated many years to the club and the wider lacrosse community.

Bob’s involvement in lacrosse began at Broadway School before heading to the club game and joining Cheadle before Disley & Norbury.

Away from actually playing the game, Bob gave an enormous amount back to the sport he loved, spending many years as England’s statistician as well as over a decade as Cheshire’s Chairman, supporting and overseeing lacrosse across all age groups.

Bob’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 14 October at 1:45pm at Rowan Chapel, Stockport Crematorium, Buxton Rd, Stockport SK2 6LS with a wake to follow at Stockport Lacrosse Club, 75 Beech Rd, Stockport SK3 8HE.

England Lacrosse sends our condolences to Bob’s family and friends at this difficult time.
