Timperley, Oxton win big at 2026 Northern Flags Festival

Timperley and Oxton won big at the 2026 Northern Flags Festival as they came away with the top honours in the respective men’s and women’s Senior Flags Finals last weekend.

On a bumper weekend of lacrosse in Rochdale that showcased the very best the sport has to offer in the north west of the country from juniors right up to seniors, 20 finals were played to mark the end of the 2025/26 domestic season.

And in the blistering heat (yes, really), the weekend came to an end with the men’s and women’s Senior Finals; Oxton first made fairly light work of Timperley to win the women’s final and add a flags title to the women’s division trophy they secured last month while in the men’s final Timperley narrowly overcame reigning champions Poynton.
